Informal Courses

If you would just like to learn more about the weather and climate, without needing a formal qualification, the following courses may be of interest. 

The University of Reading is offering online classes in Meteorology and Climate in:
 

  • Fundamentals of Meteorology (October to December 2024)
  • Statistics for Weather and Climate Science (October to December 2024)
  • Tropical Meteorology (January to March 2025)
  • Climate Services and Climate Impact Modelling (April to May 2025)


The courses are suitable for professional meteorologists, consultants, STEM students, graduates, academics seeking to improve their range of skills and knowledge and keen amateurs.
