The Royal Meteorological Society special interest group on meteorological observing systems mini conference will take place in person at the Newcastle University on the 3rd of September.
This year the theme will be precipitation measurements and this event provides an excellent opportunity for amateur and professional meteorologists to present about meteorological instruments in a friendly environment. There will be keynote speakers and posters alongside a series of oral presentations.
It is not expected that everyone will give a presentation as some people may just want to attend to listen.
Registration is free and can be done via the link below and this is also where people can indicate if they wish to present and can enter the title of their presentation.
Call for Papers
The submission for abstracts and posters is open.
The deadline to submit either an oral presentation or poster presentation which seek proposals (draft title and short abstract, max 150 words, which can be amended nearer the event) is Friday 30th May.
Please note that submitting an abstract does not register you for the conference, please register separately.
If you have any queries, please email meetings@rmets.org
