In April 2022 I finished my Phd studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany, with a research focus on atmospheric turbulence and small scale mixing processes within jet-front systems of baroclinic waves. Following this, I continued my research in the BINARY project, an interdisciplinary project at the University of Mainz which focusses on applying machine learning methods in scientific questions of atmospheric physics. The research project at the University of Reading where I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher focusses on improving the predictability of atmospheric turbulence, particularly in the context of inertial instability.
