Nicholas G. Heavens

Nicholas G. Heavens works for the geosciences technology company, CGG, and focuses on how full-complexity climate modelling can support risk management in insurance, finance, and networked infrastructure. He holds a BSc in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago and an MSc and PhD from Caltech. After a postdoc at Cornell, he spent a decade as a NASA and NSF-funded faculty-level researcher at a university and a non-profit in the US. He has authored 65 peer-reviewed publications about the weather and climate of Mars and the Earth, including 25 as first author. He has been a FRMetS since 2020.
