Matt Patterson

Matt Patterson has a general interest in atmospheric circulation, climate change and prediction on a range of timescales. He completed his PhD at the University of Oxford and British Antarctic Survey in 2020 on southern hemisphere jet streams. He has since been involved in a number of postdoctoral projects at Oxford on topics including predictability of the East Asian jet, trends in seasonal forecast models and North Atlantic air-sea coupling. He has recently taken up a postdoctoral research assistant position at University of Reading, working with Chris O'Reilly.
