Kenneth Pryor

Ken Pryor

Kenneth Pryor received an M.S. degree in Meteorology from University of Maryland in 2004 and a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2022. He has served four years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, as a U.S. Air Force weather forecaster, and as a research meteorologist in the NOAA Center for Satellite Applications and Research since 2000. Dr. Pryor’s accomplishments include the development of satellite-derived analysis products to assess thunderstorm wind severity and several journal article publications. Dr. Pryor is currently the subject matter expert for the NOAA-Unique Combined Atmospheric Processing System (NUCAPS) program.
