Georgios Papavasileiou

Dr. Georgios Papavasileiou was born in Larissa, Greece and studied Mathematics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He holds a Master's degree in Applied Meteorology and Climatology from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and a PhD in Meteorology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. His research interests include the study of atmospheric dynamics, synoptic meteorology, extratropical cyclones, extreme weather (extreme convective storms, tornadoes, hail, heat waves, floods) and fire weather.
