Fatima Pillosu

Fatima graduated from the University of Cagliari (Italy) with a degree in Civil Engineering. My main research interest is in hydrological extremes, mainly (flash) floods from extreme rainfall. At ECMWF, I work on post-processing medium-range NWP rainfall forecasts to improve predictions for extreme (local) rainfall. During my PhD at the University of Reading, I worked on applying such post-processed rainfall forecasts to enhance and extend flash flood predictions globally.
