Catherine Toolan

Catherine Toolan is a second year PhD student at the University of Reading, supervised by Laura Wilcox, Andy Turner, and Bjørn Samset (CICERO). Her PhD research explores the impacts of aerosol emissions on African rainfall in the coming decades. Her broader interests include the study of short-lived climate forcers, climate variability, and bridging gaps between research and policy. Currently, her work involves evaluating models in CMIP6 for precipitation and air quality, analysing the Regional Aerosol MIP, and conducting experiments using the FORTE2.0 coupled climate model.
