Alice Lake

Alice works as an Applied Scientist at the Met Office, in a joint role between the Post-processing Applications team and the UK Climate Resilience team. In her Post-processing Applications role, she is leading the development of the Met Office's next generation Surface Transport Forecasting (operational-timescale models of road, runway and rail temperature and state). In her UK Climate Resilience role, she is currently looking at risks to the road and rail sectors on climate timescales, alongside investigating more generally how the Met Office can pull operational models through to climate timescales and standardise the post-processing of climate projection datasets.
