Ahead of the Paris summit on climate change, 24 of the UK’s learned societies from across the sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, medicine and engineering, released a communiqué, calling for immediate action to avert the serious threats posed by climate change. This meeting explores the evidence behind their joint statement that highlights the risks climate change poses, the responses required and the opportunities available to the UK to lead the transition to a zero carbon world. There will be speakers covering the main themes of the communiqué and a panel discussion to explore the challenges and opportunities ahead both in the immediate lead up to Paris and in the crucial years that follow.
There will be a charge of £25.00 to attend this meeting. The registration fee will include refreshments and lunch.
On-line registration will close on Tuesday 3rd November 2015.
